Statement of Need/Program Overview
Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) has become an increasingly integral component of diabetes management, supported by a growing body of evidence demonstrating improvements in glycemic control, reductions in hypoglycemia, and enhanced patient engagement. This program will provide you with a comprehensive overview of the evolving role of CGM across the diabetes care continuum. The expert faculty will review current standards of care and guideline recommendations, highlighting how CGM supports therapy initiation and treatment optimization. The discussion will also explore the implications of emerging evidence, along with recent HEDIS and Stars updates, to inform payer strategies around coverage, utilization management, and population health approaches aimed at improving outcomes and quality performance at both the individual and population levels.

Educational Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

• Describe evolving guideline recommendations for CGM across diabetes populations
• Evaluate clinical, real-world, and economic evidence supporting CGM use
• Assess implications of CGM for HEDIS/Stars performance, coverage decisions, and population health strategies
